FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What areas do you serve?
We provide professional event experiences throughout our service area. If your event is outside our usual coverage area, contact us and we'll determine what may be possible.
Do you just drop off the equipment?
No. Chimeks is an experience company, not a DIY equipment rental service. Our experiences are professionally operated so you can focus on enjoying your event.
Do cold sparks require a permit?
Cold-spark machines are still considered flame effects in many jurisdictions and may require approval from the local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), permits, and qualified operation. When required, Chimeks handles the permitting and compliance process for you.
Can cold sparks be used indoors?
Yes. Our cold spark systems are designed for professional event use and can be safely operated indoors when the venue, event conditions, and applicable safety requirements allow. Our machines are designed to produce a controlled spark effect without an open flame. Every installation is evaluated for the specific venue and event to ensure proper placement, operation, and safety. When required, we also handle the necessary approvals, permits, and licensed operation.
Can you customize the experience for our venue?
Absolutely. We consider the venue layout, ceiling height, audience placement, event timeline, and the moment you're trying to create when designing the experience.
What is the low-lying fog effect?
Low-lying fog creates a beautiful cloud-like atmosphere across the floor, creating the illusion of dancing or walking through clouds. It's especially striking for first dances, entrances, and romantic moments.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend reaching out as early as possible, especially for weddings, large productions, and dates with high demand. Some events may also require additional planning or permitting.
Can you help me decide which experience is right for my event?
Yes. That's exactly what we're here for. Tell us about your event, venue, vision, and the moments you want to elevate, and we'll help determine what works best.
How do I get started?
Submit a booking request through our Book Now form or contact our team directly. We'll review your event details and follow up with the next steps.
